Polyurethane
Polyurethane (PU) is a much greener alternative to PVC, both in production and after-care. It does not require the same highly toxic chemical plasticizer and is degradable over time.

Quality:

Polyurethane top layer helps you while sweaty practises absorbing moisture. Natural rubber base gives you more cushioning textured grip when you practise low-sweat exercises. Antimicrobial prevent more mould on mat. Warm & soapy water recommended for washing.

Cleaning instructions:

A good general rule of thumb is that you should clean your yoga mat after every other practice (or every practice if it gets super sweaty). You can clean your yoga mat the same way you wash your hands — with water and dish soap. To clean a PU yoga mat it’s best to use a soft, natural soap diluted with plenty of water. Rub the mat with a damp cloth or soft sponge and the soap solution. Do not use Manduka Mat Wash, as these contain oils, or aggressive cleaning agents. Let the mat dry in the air after cleaning.
